Changes have been made to who and where IDV and SMS authentication failures can be viewed in order to decrease clutter and increase efficiency.

Staff in the signing order of a particular form and staff who assign the form/envelope can view the IDV and SMS authentication failures. 

Doctors will not receive the IDV/SMS authentication failures unless they are the ones who assigned the form.  For example, if the signing offer is as below, the doctor does not receive the IDV or SMS authentication failures.  

  1. Patient
  2. Related Patient
  3. Doctor
  4. Nurse
  5. Clinical Reviewer

When a manual review of an authentication failure is required, the task will be visible to the staff who assigned the form under:

  • My Tasks
  • “Episode” page
  • Patient record - “Assignments” tab
  • “All Assignments” page

The staff who assigned the form will also receive an email notification.

Patients only receive notification for SMS failures, not IDV failures. 

Previously, all staff, regardless of being part of the signing order or the one assigning the task, viewed authentication failures in their “Your Tasks” page.
